Team Sarcoma Initiative Sponsors

You can help us in one of two ways

  1. Sponsor one or more people who are members of Team Sarcoma 2006

  2. Help sponsor the event itself

Sponsoring People

By sponsoring one or more participants in a Team Sarcoma Initiative event, you will help sponsor sarcoma-related research. The Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative helps fund research targeted at finding a cure for the disease or, in the short term, research attempting to develop more effective treatment regimens than those currently available. We also award research grants directly to universities and cancer centers conducting sarcoma-related research. To read an overview of the research we have funded to date, click on the Funded Research button on the left. We also aid organizations that provide programs to directly support and help sarcoma patients. All of the organizing, advertising, administering, and running of Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative activities are done by unpaid volunteers. We are pleased to state that 95-98% of the all of the contributions that the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative receives goes directly to support such efforts. Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative volunteers also interact with public organizations, private for-profit organizations, and private non-profit organizations to raise awareness of sarcoma patients and the lack of young adults in clinical trials. To view and download a copy of our sponsor and donation form, click here. Some sponsors will donate a particular amount for each mile (kilometer) a person  bikes, runs, walks or swims while others will donate a fixed amount.

Sponsoring an Event

You can be a sponsor for one of our initiatives by supplying any one of a variety of items such as T-shirts, biking jerseys, wrist bands, and power bars and drinks and infrastructure costs such as transportation, printing, advertising, and meals. If you are interested in helping in this way, please contact us.
