Fifth Annual Young Adult Survivors Conference (YASC) 14-19 May 2008 in to Missoula, Montana. It is an educational conference with specific modules that include navigating the healthcare system, health and wellness, and connecting to the community. Participants will be asked to create action plans based on each of the three modules and will be contacted periodically to monitor progress in achieving their goals. We hope this conference will make a difference in the day-to-day lives of the survivors who attend the conference, well beyond the conference's end.

The 2008 Team Sarcoma Initiative is an internationally coordinated set of events to raise awareness of sarcoma and raise funds to support sarcoma research, clinical trials, and patient and family services. The 2008 Initiative consists of the "core" Team Sarcoma Bike Tour (which will be held in Germany and Austria biking along the Danube River from Passau, Germany to Vienna, Austria during 12-19 July 2008) and various local Team Sarcoma events that will be held worldwide during the same week. While the members of the "core" Team Sarcoma are cycling along the Danube River, they will be joined by people participating in various local events in the cities and countries where they live on one or more of the days during 12-20 July 2008. Sarcoma Summer School 14-18 July 2008 to be held in Mannheim, Germany as part of the CONTICANET Network of Excellence meeting. This training course intends to provide insights in the daily working routine with sarcoma patients in a dedicated sarcoma center. It intends also to show how clinical management of patients integrate scientific questions Connections of several working packages of CONTICANET to patient and tumor handling will be demonstrated. It is intended for members of CONTICANET institutions the umber of participants is limited and the meeting will be held in conjunction with a meeting of Patient Advocacy Groups. Connective Tissue Oncology Society: 14th Annual CTOS Meeting 13-15 November 2007 at the Landmark Hotel in London, UK. The Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS) is an international group comprised of physicians and scientists with a primary interest in the tumors of connective tissues.
